This is a re-do. I had sprayed it with fixative and messed her all up. She needed to be done over. Boy howdy! Did I ever struggle trying to figure out what color I wanted to make her. (Reference: antique mug shot). I really liked the blue and green, so I tried to stick with them.
I love all these last three paintings--beautiful color harmonies and sense of presence in the portrait!
You are absolutely amazing with skin tones. So many beautiful colors in the face. I love the rough texture in the background against the soft face. So much emotion.
I hope this amazing series continues. You have a keen sense of color and texture, delicate and moving.
Your collages are amazing Katie! Such depth and intensity.
